I realize that people are wondering who is behind the curtain. It’s not the Wizard of Oz…
So, who is Pint Sized Paws?
Well, there is more than one of us behind the curtain. So let me introduce you to the team…

100%
a true team effort
Jenna
is way more than meets the eye

First, I will introduce the hardworking quiet one.
The one that likes posts, and sometimes even comments on them. A hardworking, animal loving, quiet and steady partner in Pint Sized Paws. Jenna is the name, and together we share the daily care of our Dachshunds. That means feeding, grooming, cleaning, and plenty of lap time for the moms and dads, plus a lot of our hands-on work. Yes, there is real work that goes into building and maintaining a safe and clean kennel.
Jenna keeps the practical side of things running: the schedules, the supplies, and the never-ending list of small jobs that keep our dogs comfortable and our home tidy. Jenna is also one of the most patient, generous, big hearted people you could hope to meet, and the puppies know it. From the first wobbly steps to the first trip outside, Jenna is right there on the floor with them, building the confidence and trust that our families notice the moment they meet their puppy. So, to say Jenna is a busy person is an understatement, but there is ALWAYS time to care for our dogs and puppies. If you are ever lucky enough to meet Jenna, you would agree with my words wholeheartedly.

Next in line, the heart of the whole operation…Our Dachshunds.
They, like Jenna, are more of the quiet partners. Now that doesn’t mean they don’t work hard! Our moms and dads are the foundation of everything we do. They are family pets first, living in our home, sleeping on our couches, and following us from room to room on their short little legs.
Living with them every day shows us where we can improve for our dogs and puppies. We make sure their bedding, play space, potty areas, ramps, and enrichment needs are met, and we keep a close eye on their backs and their weight. They give us so much in return. We are very lucky people!
Then, there is me…Sarah.
I am the planning, communication, and technical person behind the scenes. I do the research, the health testing paperwork, social media content, website, photos, and communications, as well as all registration paperwork and vet care.
Outside of the kennel I have a regular day job like most people, but my passion is animals and the great outdoors. Dachshunds won me over with their bold, funny, loyal personalities packed into such a small body. Once you have lived with one, it is hard to imagine a home without that little shadow trotting behind you.
Animals have always been part of my life, and raising puppies well is not a weekend project, it is a lifestyle! It means early mornings, late nights, and learning something new with every litter. I take the responsibility seriously, from choosing healthy, well-tempered parents to preparing each puppy for the family waiting for them…and here I am.

Pint Sized Paws is made up of these parts…The planning, the hands-on work, and the heart. None of us could take on this task without the others. We are not just a team, but a family. Our dogs are our family. We take the hobby of breeding very seriously and will always put the animal’s welfare first and foremost. We focus on health, temperament, and structure of the breed, in that order. Beautiful coats and colors come last, but they’re the icing on the cake, so to speak.
We are so happy to be part of this BIG and WONDERFUL community of Dachshund lovers. It’s really a very rewarding hobby when you get to watch a puppy you raised grow into a confident, happy companion, or when you get to see the smiles on the new owners faces when they get to hold their new fur-baby for the first time.
Getting to communicate with our followers and supporters, creating new content, allowing you all inside our home, to witness all the love and fun we get to have…You all are part of our team! Thank you for all your support and love.
